i am thankful for my mom.
not only did she watch A__ while I taught today, and her school paid me. but, at 9pm tonight, 45 minutes after i gave up trying to get A__ to sleep and she was running around with the late-night sillies, my mom put my child to bed for me and then came back and brought me chocolates and tea.
she’s the best mom ever.

I’m thankful for having a daughter who is strong enough to do what is right for herself and her child. And believe it or not, putting a baby to sleep is something I don’t get to do so often and it was pleasurable. The thing about baby care is that it forces you to do that Zen thing: just what you are doing in the moment and nothing else!
